Description & Requirements
Applications are invited for the above position in Generation Business Group. Reporting to the Team Leader, the appointee will be assigned to multi-disciplinary work teams responsible for the effective maintenance of plant and equipment within the assigned area. Major duties include: -
- Ensure that maintenance work activities are carried out in a safe, efficient manner and up to the required engineering standard.
- Monitor assigned activities to ensure they are conducted according to schedule, budget, design and relevant codes of practice.
- Analyze and diagnose equipment fault and defects. Troubleshoot complex problems and provide technical expertise.
- Prepare, review and update documentation and reports.
- Recommend changes to maintenance practices to improve work efficiency, safety standards and cost effectiveness.
- Prepare budgets, procure essential spares, monitor capital, operating and manpower expenses to meet performance targets of those assets under his / her responsibility.
- Supervise subordinates and contractors’ workers and be accountable for the safe and quality execution of works at sites.
- Support station operation through participation in Maintenance team. Carry out maintenance activities under supervision.
Requirements
- Higher Diploma/ Certificate in Electrical / Electronic Engineering plus 5 years’ relevant experience; or Ordinary Certificate in Electrical / Electronic Engineering plus 8 years’ relevant experience.
- Preferably Minimum Grade A Registered Electrical Worker under Electricity Ordinance.
· Preferably experiences in process control equipment such as PID (Proportional / Integral / Derivative) Controller, PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) or DCS (Distributed Control System) etc.
· Knowledge in basic computer architecture and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) system.
· Knowledge in electrical circuitry or power system protection.
- Familiar with Safety, Health and Environment related regulations and ordinances.
- A good team player with strong analytical skill and self-initiative.
- Good communication and supervisory skills.
- Proficient in both written and spoken Chinese and English.
